Computer Association of Burdwan (CAB) is an autonomous, non political, non partisan, non-profitable and service oriented association of approx. 40 nos of IT entrepreneurs of Southern region of West Bengal that works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the growth of IT industry. . The CAB has been formed with the involvement of professionals, specialists, manufacturers, institutions and the related organization of Computer and Information Technology and acting as a facilitator or catalyst working closely with government on policy issues, enhancing efficiency, competitiveness and expanding business opportunities through assorted services.

It was a few years back, at Baranilpur More, Burdwan, 8 nos. of IT Dealers was discussing the need of forming an Association of IT entrepreneurs at Burdwan for the growth of the industry and trade in this region and as a result CAB steps in during June, 2003.

Since inception, the Association has become a nodal agency responsible for the growth and development of IT industry in the Southern part of West Bengal and has emerged as the most important IT forum in this region. It has successfully created an ambience conducive to the growth of the industry and trade in this region.

Our Onbjectives:

• To assist in the utilization, enhancement and promotion of IT awareness in this region

• To exchange knowledge, skill and technology related to IT within and outside of CAB members..

• To provide and protect the necessary rights and privileges, benefits to individuals, institutions, companies and organizations affiliated to CAB.

• Negotiate with the statutory authorities collectively in favour of CAB members.
